Spring Cherries

Cherries sitting upon a plate are oh so pretty!

"In the cherry pluckt at night,
With the dew of summer swelling,
There's a juice of pure delight,
Cool, dark, sweet, divinely smelling."

Saturday Morning Coffee

A scatter of espresso beans is the subject for my next painting. These few beans missed out on contributing towards today's latte, but they'll get their chance in the weeks to come...

Lemons in a Bowl

Lemon is one of my favorite flavors in cooking! I love the fresh tartness - especially in the spring. When Tim and I were in Italy we often made lemon chicken with risotto or rice that was delicious! Remembering our shopping trips to Mercato Centrale to buy the fixings for this dish is what inspired this next painting. I've included my favorite recipe for a lemon chicken marinade below.

FÄRGRIK

My first painting is of three nestled coffee cups. I have fond memories of sipping piping hot coffee from these cups when Tim and I lived in our little apartment in Florence, Italy. If I listen hard enough, I can still hear the roar of people bustling in the streets three floors below, and the bells of Orsanmichele.
